MAJO. HARDROCK. FINISHED.
She didn’t run for the title. She ran for the finish.
On July 13, 2025, at around 6:46 PM Philippine time, Majo Liao crossed the finish line of the Hardrock 100.
46 hours. 46 minutes. 100 miles. 10,000+ meters of elevation gain.
No fanfare. No breakdown. Maybe a tear. But mostly — relief, resolve, and something bigger than both: a quiet triumph forged by grit, grace, and gear.
“I just wanted to finish.”
There was talk — even on the live stream — that she might be the first Filipino to finish Hardrock 100. Some names came up. Some questions, too.
But Majo never ran for the title. She ran for the finish.
And when she got it — steady, beaming, and wearing Ahon — that was more than enough.
🇵🇭 What she wore:
Everything on her was tested on Filipino trails — and trusted for this:
- Super Light Shirt LS – white (custom)
- Super Light Shirt LS – Apo purple (custom)
- Ahon Trail Socks – her favorite, worn to the end
- Ahon Trail Gaiters – older Yakan-design, still holding strong
No flash. No marketing push. Just gear that works — and gear that lasts.
What she climbed:
- 100.5 miles (162 km)
- Elevation gain: 33,197 ft (10,123 m)
- Highest point: Handies Peak – 14,048 ft (4,282 m)
- Finish time: 46:46:XX
Hardrock isn’t a race you conquer. It’s a race you survive. You get through it, if you’re lucky — and if you’ve done the work.
The crew behind the climb:
Nobody finishes Hardrock alone.
To Aldean, Andrew, Justin, and Joe — the crew behind every aid station push, every clothing swap, every crucial decision — salamat. You were part of every mile.
Why it mattered:
Because it wasn’t about proving something.
It was about becoming someone — in the mountains, with every step.
And because it showed the world what we already knew:
- That Filipino runners belong at the toughest finish lines.
- That our gear can go head-to-head with the best.
- That this isn’t just a brand — it’s a movement built for the climb.
From everyone at Ahon:
Majo —
You didn’t just finish the Hardrock 100.
You honored every Filipino who ever dreamed of the impossible trail.
Hinubog para sa pag-angat. Pinagtibay ng kalikasan.
We’re proud to run beside you.

She’s a focused runner. Simple lang kung titignan pero hardcore ang galawan. A gentle beast. No one does it better than Majo when it comes to trail running. She’s a certified Hardrocker now and you’ve made us Filipinos proud, specially to our ultratrailrunning community! Rest and recover well Ma’am Majo!!! CONGRATS!!!
Congratulations, Majo! You were always meant for the tougher races: the higher peaks, the longer routes, the gnarlier trails. Here’s to more challenges to face and dreams to fulfill!
